Business Systems Analyst (Data Center Colocation Migration)

Insight Global is looking for a Business Systems Analyst (Data Center Colocation Migration) to join one of our largest banking clients on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for a multi‑phase data center colocation migration.
- Work with infrastructure, network, application, security/compliance teams, and vendors to define migration scope and readiness.
- Maintain physical and virtual data center inventories, application lists, and dependency mappings.
- Assess workload criticality, downtime tolerances, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Support migration planning, including wave sequencing, readiness checklists, and cutover strategies.
- Track risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as needed.
- Support migration rehearsals, cutovers, and post‑migration stabilization.
- Produce status updates, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Define migration acceptance criteria and support go/no‑go decisions.
- Ensure migration activities align with security, risk, and regulatory standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large‑scale infrastructure migration or data center colocation programs.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, colocation services, and core IT infrastructure concepts and technologies including:
○ Servers, storage, networking concepts
○ Application dependencies
○ Power, cooling, rack layouts
○ Colocation vendor contracts and SLAs
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements across technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze application inventories, dependencies, and migration risks.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Experience in the banking sector or other regulated environments.
- Experience supporting migration testing, cutover planning, and stabilization.
- Exposure to security, compliance, or regulatory requirements in enterprise environments.
