Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Technical Developer for a data extraction and conversion project supporting a migration from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion. This consultant will play a key role in developing extract scripts, writing complex SQL queries, and supporting data transformation activities to ensure accurate and complete data migration.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS backend development, data extraction, and conversion activities. Experience supporting HCM/HR data conversions (including Absence Management) is highly preferred. Candidates with both HCM and Finance knowledge are ideal, as Finance conversions will come in a later release. This role is remote and 6 months with extensions to come.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and write extract scripts to support data conversion from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion.
- Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries against Oracle EBS databases to extract required data.
- Perform data transformations using SQL outside of EBS using tools such as Oracle SQL Developer.
- Support HCM/HR data conversions, including Absence Management and related HR data objects.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams and client resources to validate data mapping and extraction logic.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness throughout extraction and conversion cycles.
- Troubleshoot data issues and support reconciliation and validation activities.
- Document extraction logic, assumptions, and conversion processes as required.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Technical Developer, with a strong focus on data extraction and conversion.
- Extensive experience writing SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction from Oracle EBS databases.
- Experience supporting Oracle EBS HCM conversions, including HR and Absence Management data.
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS backend tables and data models.
- Hands-on experience supporting Oracle Fusion migration projects, specifically data conversion efforts.
- Experience working closely with functional teams (HCM and/or Finance) to understand data requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a project-based environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting data conversion and extraction for Oracle Finance modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR)
- Bilingual in French and English
