QA Lead – Job Description
Role Summary
Lead the quality assurance (QA) efforts for the project by managing the test team, building robust automation solutions for UI, API, and batch data processes, leveraging AI for testing optimization, and overseeing the full SDLC and application development lifecycle. The role also includes managing intake, Gating processes, utilizing Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation, and ensuring all criteria are met.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
• Lead, mentor, and support the QA team in all daily activities.
• Design and build automation frameworks for UI, API, and batch data processes using Robot Framework and Selenium.
• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Apply AI techniques to enhance test coverage, defect prediction, and test optimization.
• Oversee ETL testing throughout the SDLC, ensuring data integrity and process reliability.
• Collaborate with application development teams to align QA activities with project goals.
• Manage intake processes, including requirements review and test case design.
• Track and manage testing activities and defects using Jira; maintain documentation in Confluence.
• Ensure all gating criteria are met before release and provide clear test result reporting to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Skills
• Proven experience managing or leading a QA team.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
o Robot Framework and Selenium
o Automation framework development (UI, API, batch data) using any suitable programming language
o AI use cases in testing (test case generation, defect prediction, etc.)
o ETL testing and SDLC processes
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
• Familiarity with application development processes.
• Proficient in Jira and Confluence for test management and documentation.
• Experience with intake management and gating processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
