Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a mid-level Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support upcoming strategic initiatives focused on data consolidation, system design, and portfolio-level analytics within Capital Markets. This role will work closely with Front Office, Global Credit, Collateral, Treasury, and Risk teams to help move the organization from siloed data to a consolidated, analytics-driven platform.
The ideal candidate has a strong appreciation for data, takes ownership of outcomes, and can operate with limited direction while managing end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities
System Design & Data Strategy
Support the design and integration of a new data platform, including how data is captured, processed, and consumed across teams
Analyze existing systems and datasets to make sense of fragmented data accumulated over the last 4–5 months
Ensure data is traceable, auditable, and well-documented across the full lifecycle
Partner with data engineering to consolidate data into Databricks for analytics use cases

Business Analysis & Documentation
Lead end-to-end business analysis across initiatives
Produce formal Waterfall documentation including:
Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
System Requirements Documents (SRDs)
Translate requirements into Agile user stories for delivery teams
Consider downstream data implications in all requirements and designs

Analytics & Risk Perspective
Enable portfolio-level analytics, including:
Cross-exposure analysis
Dependency and risk assessments
Support reporting and insights related to loan exposure, collateral availability, and risk
Collaborate with analytics-focused BSA and data engineers (Python/SQL) to ensure data usability

Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with Front Office desks and Capital Markets stakeholders
Act as a strong advocate for data quality and usability
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and strong work ethic

Required Skills & Experience

-Business Systems Analyst experience, ideally within Capital Markets, supporting complex, data-driven initiatives from requirements through delivery
- SQL expertise to analyze source systems, trace data lineage, design purpose-built datasets, and support warehouse-style data models
- Hands-on experience working directly with Front Office users, translating business needs into clear, actionable system and data requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction, proactively identify gaps, take ownership, and drive outcomes end to end
- Strong documentation capabilities, including BRDs, SRDs, and user stories, with comfort operating in Agile environments while producing Waterfall artifacts
- Experience with databricks or analytics platforms
- Experience with domain exposure to loan exposure, collateral, treasury, or risk systems, including data-centric system design
