Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a senior AS400/I-series developer to join one of Canada's largest banking clients. This role requires the candidate to serve as an AS400 development specialist, playing a crucial role in managing and developing computer systems. It means being responsible for managing, developing, securing, and maintaining applications on AS400 systems, while collaborating closely with other teams to meet client needs and improve operational processes. This role allows you to make a positive impact on the organization, leveraging your expertise in AS400/I-series.
Day to day:
• Work closely with our product team to bring customer requirements to life;
• Collaborate with other team members to quickly deliver solutions that translate business needs into technical outcomes;
• Constantly challenge the status quo and uncover defects and deficiencies;
• Find ways to improve operational delivery

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience on AS400
• Applied experience with one of the following technologies/languages: RPG/LE, COBOL/400, SQL, Query/400, QM Query, ASC Sequel, CLP/CLLE, MQ, Data queue, JIRA, Service Now, SFTP, IFS, DB2/400,TAATOOL ,RDI and Arcad.
• Experience with the Waterfall/Agile/Scrum approach and knowledge of JIRA
• Ability to solve problems independently and creatively
• Experience in problem analysis, data mapping, use case modeling, and documentation
• Commitment to deliver quality customer service and products.
