Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL, along with working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions—including ETL frameworks and Data Warehouses—to support enterprise and data-driven applications.
This role requires a proactive problem solver with strong technical depth, capable of supporting and enhancing complex telecom data platforms, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, security, and data integrity. The position is heavily focused on development and testing, with minimal traditional DBA responsibilities.
Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures across ETL applications and Data Warehouse (DW) packages
Develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions in Oracle databases
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analytics
Develop and support database programs and objects across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
Support and enhance ETL processes (PL/SQL-based) and Oracle Data Warehouse systems that extract telecom data from multiple source applications
Collaborate with business analysts and application teams to understand BI/reporting requirements and implement required changes to ETL pipelines, data models, and DW structures
Maintain and enhance telecom applications such as EAI, DX Net Ops, and SIA (Service Impact Analysis) systems
Develop and support enhancements to SIA, which analyzes customer service impacts during outages across telecom object hierarchies
Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and optimization
Implement and support backup, recovery, and data integrity strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues across development, test, and production environments
Document database architecture, data models, ETL processes, and configurations for auditing and compliance
Support future-state initiatives, including migration of ETL and DW platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL programming
Advanced proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with ETL frameworks and data warehousing concepts
Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and dimensional models
Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and optimization
Knowledge of backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting
Exposure to BI tools, dashboards, and reporting applications
Hands-on experience with Telecom data models, telecom inventory systems, and telecom performance metrics
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
BigQuery
Looker
Working knowledge of Python
Experience supporting or migrating enterprise ETL/DW platforms to cloud environments- such as DataBricks/Snowflake/Azure tools
