Lead Architect Designer

Insight Global is hiring a Lead Architect Designer to define and oversee the architecture for deploying a critical third-party Anti-Money Laundering (AML) application on Microsoft Azure. This strategic role requires deep expertise in cloud architecture, container orchestration, and security compliance within regulated banking environments.
You will lead the design of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, networking, and application runtime architecture for a Java/JBoss EAP stack integrated with PostgreSQL. Your responsibilities include setting architectural standards, guiding DevOps teams, and ensuring scalability, resiliency, and compliance for systems monitoring millions of transactions daily.

- Proven experience designing Azure-based enterprise architectures, including AKS, VNet integration, and secure networking.
- Deep knowledge of JBoss EAP architecture, JVM tuning, and high-throughput Java workloads.
Ability to define observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong experience architecting PostgreSQL solutions (Azure Database or HA clusters), including performance tuning and DR strategies.
- In-depth understanding of banking regulatory requirements, encryption standards, RBAC, and audit logging.
- Experience integrating Azure Key Vault and implementing Kubernetes network policies for workload isolation.
- Ability to set architectural standards and mentor engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management skills.

- Familiarity with OpenShift or other Kubernetes distributions.
- Knowledge of Azure Service Bus or Kafka for messaging architecture.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline design using Azure DevOps.
- Background in AML platforms (e.g., Actimize, Watch List Management).
- Understanding of storage architecture (Azure Managed Disks, NetApp NFS).
