Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and admit patients, review charts, and input accurate demographics.
Set up patients according to AASM guidelines, including mask fitting and equipment placement.
Educate patients on PAP therapy (CPAP, BiPAP, ASV) and assist with acclimatization.
Monitor and document sleep stages, body position, SP02, CPAP pressure, and events every 30 minutes.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to physicians as needed.
Complete incident reports for patient or staff issues.
Perform thorough cleaning and sterilization of equipment and rooms post-study.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

Completed post-secondary education in Health Sciences (Biology, Neuroscience, or equivalent).
CPR Certification.
Ability to work overnight shifts (11–12 hours) and weekends as required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care.
Effective communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and strong data entry skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
Experience with EMR systems.
Familiarity with PAP Education and Titration Protocols.
Emotional intelligence and ability to build patient trust.
