Job Description
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to kick off manager community engagement for upcoming fiscal year, to determine employee engagement program for other more technical communities within Windows.
→ Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
→ Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
→ Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
→ Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
→ Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
→ Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
→ Direct, review and approve product designs and changes.
→ Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
• Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 50% working, 25% research (phone calls, online, talking to people), 25% meeting

A largely self‑directed role, a typical day involves driving Windows Commercial workstreams forward — organizing inputs, tracking actions, and keeping cross‑team deliverables moving. Partnering across teams, she clarifies requirements, removes blockers, and keeps programs aligned so our processes, timelines, and outputs stay consistent and easy for others to act on.
Cross‑team impact: The work touches every major operational rhythm — coordinating inputs, aligning stakeholders, and making sure deliverables land cleanly — which gives the role broad visibility and meaningful influence on how the org executes.
Program reliability: Deliverables, timelines, and cross‑team actions land consistently without the need for follow‑up or escalation.
Clarity and coordination: Inputs from LT, managers, and partner teams are organized, accurate, and translated into clean outputs that keep programs moving.
Operational rhythm health: Meeting content, decision trackers, and planning workflows stay current and reflect the right priorities at the right time.
Stakeholder experience: Partners find the process smooth, communication clear, and blockers resolved quickly, enabling them to execute without friction.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of program management for Product marketing or product management for technical company (software or cloud)
- Program planning and workflow management: 8 years of experience
- Stakeholder coordination and requirement gathering: +8 years
- Operational rhythm execution: + 8 years
- Ability to build a communication calendar like a multimedia communications calendar
- External communications, marketing ability.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working for "big tech" organizations in the marketing/product management space
- Any AI experience or exposure
