Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist who performs high‑quality general ultrasound examinations—including abdominal, pelvic, breast, thyroid, and MSK studies—using various types of diagnostic equipment. They ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and safety while maintaining strict confidentiality and delivering a supportive, patient‑centered experience. The technologist explains procedures clearly, monitors patients during exams, and responds appropriately to any changes in symptoms or vital signs. They follow established quality control and safety protocols, ensuring equipment is well‑maintained, functioning effectively, and used according to departmental standards. The role includes preparing and organizing reports, documenting findings accurately, and escalating unusual or urgent observations as required. The technologist maintains active CMRTO certification, current CPR training, and demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional education. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety, and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Greet patient, explain forthcoming test, position patient, and prepare him/her for examination.
Observe patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs and summon medical aid when necessary.
Ensure all quality control assessments are performed as required. Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and best practices.
Follow procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards.
Ensure equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner.
Prepare and organize reports as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
0-2 years of related experience.
Candidates must have CMRTO certification.
Current CPR certificate.
Vascular, MSK & OB experience is an asset.
Ability to perform all types of ultrasound procedures on various types of ultrasound equipment.
