Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Scala Developer - In this role you will join a new Data Delivery department responsible for building multiple applications from scratch on Azure Cloud and Databricks. This role focuses on backend development in Scala, supporting ETL processes, batch data injections, and end-of-day processing.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design and develop backend applications in Scala from scratch.
-Create and manage Databricks notebooks coded in Scala.
-Integrate and onboard new applications onto the Azure platform.
-Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data orchestration.
-Support ETL processes: job creation, scheduling, and data processing.
-Manage batch data injections and end-of-day processing workflows.
-Collaborate with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
-Participate in infrastructure setup for upcoming applications.

Required Skills & Experience
-3–5 years of senior development experience in Scala.
-Strong expertise in Scala frameworks and notebook development.
-Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Framework and Databricks.
-Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF).
-Familiarity with Data Lake architecture.
-Experience in backend-focused ETL processes (data ingestion, transformation, scheduling).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Banking or financial services experience.
-Knowledge of settlement and reconciliation processes.
