Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data and analytics solutions that support our large FinTech client's B2B marketing initiatives. This role is critical in building the data environment and integrations that will power advanced omnichannel marketing campaigns. As part of a small, collaborative team, you will work with large-scale datasets to unlock the value of big data for the global marketing team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong background in data engineering, a passion for building scalable solutions, and a commitment to driving business impact.

-Build and propagate data objects tailored for B2B marketing use cases
-Ingest data from various SaaS platforms into Databricks for reporting and AI enablement
-Design scalable ingestion architectures and move data through medallion layers
-Develop and maintain feature stores, analytical stores, and curated datasets
-Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards
-Collaborate with marketing and tech teams to solve high-priority data challenges
-Support deployment and optimization of data applications and analytical models
-Experiment with new tools to streamline pipeline development and operations
-Establish and enforce data engineering best practices across the team

Required Skills & Experience

-Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, including building scalable data architectures using medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers)
-Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals: governance, privacy, sanitization, and scalability
-Proven ability to build and optimize custom and out-of-the-box connectors (e.g., Lakehouse Connect, Apache NiFi, Airflow)
-Proficiency in Python for data ingestion and pipeline development
-Experience with orchestration tools like Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, and Spark

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Exposure to Unity Catalog, Delta tables, and Lakeview connectors
-Cloud experience (AWS preferred, but Azure/GCP also welcome)
-Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau for downstream reporting
