Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Quantitative Developer to support a capital markets trading desk focused on derivatives at one of the big banks DT Toronto. This is a hybrid role combining technical python development with direct collaboration with traders. You will help upgrade and migrate excel spreadsheet-based tools to Python, optimize performance, and ensure maintainability in a production environment. The position offers exposure to derivatives pricing, risk measures, and trading desk operations.


Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and optimize spreadsheet models and formulas
Migrate Excel-based tools to Python
Collaborate with traders and senior developers to understand business needs
Liaise with the trading desk to align technical solutions with operational workflows
Ensure software maintainability and performance in production
Work with Bloomberg terminals and data feeds as needed

Required Skills & Experience

Recent graduates or early-career professionals with 2–5 years of experience
Degree in Mathematics (preferred), Computer Science, or a related technical field
Math-focused programs are highly desirable
Strong Python programming skills
Familiarity with capital markets, derivatives pricing, and risk measures
Proficiency in Excel; VBA is a plus but not required
Strong communication skills, especially when working with front-office teams
Experience with or willingness to learn Bloomberg tools and trading desk operations

Experience with Bloomberg Intergrations
