Job Overview

About the Team (TD Securities Global Infrastructure)
• Supports TD Securities and Treasury & Balance Sheet Management
• Provides engineered infrastructure solutions and specialized support
• Collaborates with multiple internal teams (Architecture, Security Ops, Audit, etc.)
🔧 Core Responsibilities
• Database Engineering & Support:
○ Install, configure, and maintain NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Oracle)
○ Optimize performance and ensure high availability
○ Design schemas and collaborate with dev teams
○ Backup, restore, and test data regularly
○ Stay current with database trends and best practices
• Operational Duties:
○ Environment management, monitoring, incident handling
○ Provide 3rd-level on-call support (rotational)
○ After-hours support for projects and scheduled changes
• Project & Governance Work:
○ Implement infrastructure solutions with design leads
○ Ensure compliance with governance standards (patching, access, monitoring)
• Service Requests:
○ Rapid support and consultation for application teams
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Undergraduate degree or technical certificate in CS or business
• Experience:
○ 5–7 years as a DBA
○ Financial services IT background
• Technical Skills:
○ Oracle, MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL optimization
○ NoSQL design, backup/restoration, performance tuning
○ IP networking (routers, firewalls)
○ Automation tools (e.g., Ansible), Linux/Unix systems
• Soft Skills:
○ Strong communication and presentation
○ Effective time management
