Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing team delivering secure, real-time financial services and modern APIs to fintech partners across North America. This is focused on backend development, with immediate contributions expected on new system builds. The role is hands-on and ideal for someone who can quickly ramp up and start delivering value.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 11/17) and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, S3, RDS) and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of event-driven systems and messaging platforms (e.g., ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS).
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs, including authentication (OAuth2) and API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Deep knowledge of SOLID principles and clean code practices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience developing merchant acceptance solutions using payment networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
• Experience with money movement products (e.g., Visa Direct, Mastercard Move).
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript for future full-stack opportunities.
Exposure to ORMs (e.g., Hibernate) and object mapping tools (e.g., MapStruct, Dozer).
