Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a part-time Solution Architect to support the Nova Scotia ELCC (Early Learning and Child Care) Beta team. This project is part of the province’s broader ELCC Modernisation initiative—a joint effort between the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS) and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD). The initiative focuses on building a new digital service that improves access, transparency, and efficiency for families, service providers, and educators in the early learning sector.
The architect will lead the technical design of a new citizen-facing platform to support operating funding applications. Responsibilities will include designing scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies, ensuring compliance with government security and privacy standards, mentoring technical teams, and producing architectural documentation and sustainability models.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect designing and integrating enterprise-scale technology solutions
• Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Azure, and Microsoft Power Platform
• Strong understanding of integration patterns for legacy and cloud-based systems
• Experience designing resilient, scalable, and citizen-facing digital platforms
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and cloud-native architectures
• Strong knowledge of government privacy and security standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to mentor teams and present to Architecture Review Boards
• Experience producing technical documentation and architecture artifacts
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working on public sector digital service projects
• Familiarity with CSDS systems like Axios Assyst and MyNSAccount
• Knowledge of AI tools and their integration in modern software architecture
Part time for first 6 months roughly 20 hours. Can work multiple roles if needed.
