Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tandem (HPNS) Systems Programmer to join our team. This role involves working in a complex, multi-vendor, multi-protocol environment, providing expert-level support for Tandem HPNS systems. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for Tandem-related inquiries and will play a critical role in system installation, maintenance, problem resolution, and project participation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install, configure, and maintain Tandem (HPNS) systems.
-Perform advanced problem determination and resolution.
-Participate in disaster recovery tests and on-call rotations.
-Support multiple accounts and collaborate with vendors (e.g., IBM) for troubleshooting and product inquiries.
-Install and support program products, including complex software like tape management and job scheduling tools.
-Apply and test user modifications under z/OS.
-Provide technical and operational guidance to teams and lead special projects.
-Ensure compliance with client change management processes.
-Create and maintain system documentation.
-Work off-hours and weekends as required.

-Tandem HPNS expertise in a production environment.
-Strong knowledge of z/OS, including installation, support, and system utilities (DFDSS, IDCAMS, IEBGENER).
-Experience with SMP/E, ACF2, IO Gen, HCD, JES2/JES3, and DFSMS.
-Proficiency in Assembler language and diagnostic tools (IPCS, LOGREC).
-Familiarity with BMC & IBM Scheduler software, TSO, ISPF.
Understanding of sysplex concepts and CPU key management.
-Experience with problem and change management systems (e.g., eESM).
-Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic environments.
