Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Solution Architect to join on a 12 m contract, hybrid 4 days/week downtown toronto. As a Senior Solutions Architect at this FI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Open Banking within our Digital Architecture team. Your primary focus will be on designing and delivering end-to-end solution architectures that align with RBCs enterprise standards and patterns. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive architecture blueprint documents that encompass business, application, integration, infrastructure, data, and security domains. A key part of your role will involve active participation in architecture governance processes, including presenting and certifying solution designs. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders, in a product-based development environment. Additionally, you will help define technology roadmaps for Open Banking and Digital Money Management capabilities, ensuring the FI remains at the forefront of innovation in the financial services industry.

Required Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in the context of Open Banking and consumer-driven banking frameworks in Canada. A solid grasp of Financial Data Exchange (FDX) standards is essential, along with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. You should have hands-on experience with modern architecture paradigms and technologies such as FDX APIs, microservices, OpenID Connect, event-based architecture, public cloud platforms, and the OAuth 2.0 framework. Strong soft skills are equally importanteffective communication, teamwork, adaptability, time management, problem-solving, and active listening are all critical to your success in this collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

While not required, familiarity with Open Banking Financial Data Exchange standards related to APIs, user control mechanisms, and consumer dashboards will give you an edge. Experience advocating for architectural vision and contributing to the evolution of digital platforms is highly valued. A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry standards will help you thrive in this forward-thinking, innovation-driven team.
