Insight Global is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to service northern Ontario for a global steel manufacturer. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and marketing efforts for steel plates, bars, coils and other steel products manufactured by the client. You will lead both internal and external customers, develop and execute sales strategies, and maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products, markets, and competitors. Your role includes evaluating market trends, gathering competitive information, and prospecting new business opportunities across multiple industries that utilize steel products such as OEMs, and automotive customers. Frequent travel is expected, with up to 85% of your time spent in the field with Friday's reserved for admin work, remotely.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement)
- 7+ years of experience in steel or other metal sales
- Strong understanding of the uses for steel plates, coils, bars, etc. and how /why customers utilize steel products
- Experience reviewing CAD drawings to determine product specifications for client requests and presentations
- Experience utilizing a CRM tool to document client interactions and maintain in-depth knowledge of customer needs, buying influences, etc.
- Experience leading a sales team or having direct reports from inside sales
- Formal sales training courses or certifications
