Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior zOS Expert to join our team. This role involves working in a complex, multi-vendor, multi-protocol network/systems environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary contact for zOS Operating Systems, providing expert-level support and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary Contact: Serve as the primary contact for zOS Operating Systems.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex issues related to installation, updates, configuration, operations, and performance of IT products and services.
Interaction: Collaborate with customers, vendors, and management.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills:
-zOS Support: Install and maintain Mainframe z/OS and related software.
-Disaster Recovery: Participate in tests.
-Availability for On-call Rotation.
-Software Installation: Install, customize, test, and implement software.
-Assembler Language: Understand and use Assembler language.
-System Utilities: Knowledge of ACF2, RACF, and other system utilities.
-Experience with SMPE.
-Experience working with JES2, JES3

Soft Skills:
-Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
Negotiation: Define approaches and goals, advise other professionals.
-Problem Solving: Analyze situations, implement solutions, develop new processes.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Bilingual in French and English is an asset
-Vendor Interaction: Work with vendors for problem determination and product questions.
-DFSMS: Extensive understanding from an MVS system programmer perspective.
-Diagnostic skills (PD, IPCS, LOGREC), sysplex concepts, CPU keys.
