Insight Global is searching for a Development Lead to join a leading courier and logistics client in Mississauga. This role is mostly remote, but may require in person collaboration 1x/week in Mississauga.
The Development Lead is responsible for ensuring high-quality technical solutions that align with standards set by the Development Center of Excellence (CoE). They collaborate closely with solution architects, lead technical design, and actively participate in development. As the primary liaison for the development team, they guide developers, ensure effective communication across teams, and uphold coding standards. It should be noted that this role requires 60% capacity as a team lead and 20% as a developer (heavy on backend code).
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Design and develop cloud-based solutions, lead technical design sessions, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Team Management: Guide developers on technical decisions
- Project Execution: Break down user stories, manage technical delivery, and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the main contact for development, coordinating with Product, QA, BA, and Architecture teams.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews, support testing phases, and provide post-implementation support.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop technical documentation, define project requirements, and establish reusable components.
