Insight Global is seeking an experienced Active Directory (AD) Engineer to join the teams of one of our top Retail Clients on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in on-premises AD environments and will pay a crucial role in enhancing the overall security of the AD infrastructure. This role involves conducting gap assessments, implementing remediation plans, and ensuring compliance with best practices.

-Understand AD forests, domains, trusts, group policies, and organizational units.
-Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
-Advanced knowledge of AD concepts, replication, DNS, DHCP, and group policies.
-In-depth knowledge of SMB (Server Message Block) protocol, including security hardening and alternative port configurations1.
-Experience with NTLM (NT LAN Manager) authentication over SMB2.
-Strong understanding of Kerberos authentication and its integration with AD.
