Job Description

What you'll be doing
As a Consultant, Performance Testing, you will be accountable for driving the performance testing strategy, approach and standards for the Credit Cards QA team. This includes translating business processes, systems functionality, and requirements into test cases to deliver applications with high quality performance and operability. We are committed to innovation, specifically DevOps and Agile. You will be working with various technology groups within DCT to create and manage the performance testing roadmap and testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
· Drive Performance Testing - Develop PTE Strategies, create and execute performance testing scripts; design and development of Performance testing across projects within the Cards portfolio. Report and manage performance concerns and test activities throughout the software development life cycle. Provide status of Performance and Load Testing, communicate issues, implement Performance standards and policies, and communicate QA schedule. Develop and maintain Performance tests. Assist developers in identifying the performance issues and work with them to improve the performance of the applications. Effectively communicate quality issues identified within a testing cycle/sprint and collaborate with software development and business teams to accelerate issue resolution.
· Test Delivery - Lead the analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage Performance testing activities for various projects across the business. Continually work towards improving our QA processes and assist Dev's & BAs on any ad-hoc performance testing as needed.
· Innovation - You will be responsible for participating and driving transformational changes in adopting DevOps and Agile methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

· You can demonstrate seasoned experience in J2EE, C#, Python, VBScript etc software development (5-7 years), manual and/or automation testing (5-7 years), and experience working with SQL and Oracle databases.
· You can demonstrate experience in developing Performance Test Plans, executing test cases, scripting, and defect tracking. You bring proven experience utilizing LoadRunner and/or other load testing tools. Your troubleshooting skills help resolve complex technical application and infrastructure problems.
· Ability to analyze and gather non-functional requirements pertaining to application performance and operability . Ability to identify the gaps in non-functional requirements
· Expert in various Performance testing tools like Load Runner (preferred), Performance Center, J Meter, UFT, Neoload etc
· You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
· Develop execution plans to mimic projected load in production to define workload models to measure application performance metrics
· Analyzing the application with varied loads / parameters to gather memory footprint and application capacity.
· Ability to create load testing scripting using HTTP/HTML, Web Services protocol and ability to script stubs/virtual responders
· Excellent team work skills to work with technical support teams, e.g. Application Operation (AO), network, firewall, UNIX, and DB teams.
· Analyze root cause of performance bottlenecks, investigate performance issues and troubleshoot them quickly in a complex technical environment
· Understanding of various defect tracking tools like HP ALM and Jira
· Ability to deliver on time with quality and handle multiple projects at a time with Flexibility work over time and extended overlapping shifts with onsite to deliver critical projects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Its an asset if you have experience with automation and performance monitoring tools like JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Dynatrace APM
