Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a top automation client on a 12 month contract with the intention of staying long term. You will be joining a team working in the nuclear space as a mentor to the junior designers. You will participate in the initial design phase, sit on reviews, and asses the designs by performing calculations/analysis/simulations to verify requirements. This will include taking engineering responsibility for the design as defined by PEO guidelines. You will be expected to go onsite Cambridge a minimum of 2 days per week.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in mechanical design/engineering
Proficient in SolidWorks
7+ years working in automation/mechanical design ( hydraulics, pneumatics, servos)
Experience performing analysis and validations (hand calculations, safety, structural integrity, etc)
Strong ability to conceptualize and create solutions from complex design requirements
P. Eng

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Background in a highly regulated industry (nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, etc)
