The NAV Functional Consultant is tasked with implementing and optimizing the Dynamics NAV 2016 (Dynamics 365 Business Central) ERP system. This role involves analyzing business processes, designing and configuring system modules, and leading implementation projects. Additionally, the consultant provides ongoing support and maintenance to ensure the system meets business needs efficiently. Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with project management experience and a solid understanding of Dynamics NAV/Business Central.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis:
Conduct detailed business process analysis.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
System Design and Configuration:
Design and configure Dynamics NAV/Business Central modules.
Customize and extend the system using AL language and other tools.
Implementation and Deployment:
Lead the implementation process, including installation, configuration, and data migration.
Conduct user training sessions and provide post-implementation support.
Project Management:
Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders.
Support and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the Dynamics NAV/Business Central system.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation, including functional design documents and user manuals.
Maintain up-to-date records of system configurations and customizations.
Reporting Relationship: The NAV Functional Consultant/Analyst reports to the Manager of Business Systems.
