Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Reporting and Data Expert to join a leading banking client downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in creating out-of-the-box reporting using SFMC Data Views and Query Studio. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing custom reporting solutions that meet specific campaign performance and analytic needs. In addition, they will play a key role in facilitating data backfeed, journey historical logs for Customer Journeys and collaborate with internal teams to transform, package, and deliver data in the required formats for integration with external data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics:

Develop and maintain custom reports using SFMC Data Views to track campaign performance, user behavior, and other key metrics.
Create and optimize SQL queries in Query Studio to accommodate ad hoc reporting requests.
Design and automate regular reporting processes to provide actionable insights into email, SMS, and other multi-channel campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure reporting solutions align with business KPIs and objectives.

Data Transformation & Backfeed:

Lead the effort to build and manage backfeeds for SFMC Journeys, ensuring seamless data transfers out of Marketing Cloud.
Ability to transform raw data from Marketing Cloud into specific requirements for external integrations.
Work closely with data engineering and platform teams to define scope for data exchange and ensure data integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as the primary point of contact between the marketing, platform, and data teams to scope out and clarify reporting and data requirements.
Ensure data quality, security, and governance in all reporting and integration tasks.
Provide guidance to developers on best practices for data management and reporting within SFMC.

Required Skills & Experience

Here's What You Need:

Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to create complex queries to manipulate and retrieve data for reporting purposes
Experience building and managing journey logs and backfeeds in SFMC
Familiarity with SFMC Journey Builder and how to interface data back into the platform for campaign optimization
Solid understanding of data transformation; ability to shape data into a format that meets the needs of the business
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
Minimum 3 years designing digital marketing solutions (e.g., capability assessments, requirements gathering, process reengineering).
