Summary:
The main function of a Construction Safety Manager is to be the client's safety representative on site, provide oversight, ensure proper and timely reporting, as well as ensure the GC is implementing their approved safety program, in line with local norms and regulations. 30% overseeing general contractors are doing in terms of safety, nothing dangerous is happening onsite, being client representative in terms of health and safety, reporting incidents, helping general contractor with understanding [client's] processes & procedures for health & safety, safety audits once in awhile to make sure general contractors are following safety program that was submitted.
Job Responsibilities:
Serving as the primary contact for the implementation of the EHS programs for a specific Microsoft Datacenter site.
Being accountable for EHS performance metrics and implementation of improvement plans.
Periodically inspecting, auditing, and reviewing safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Conduct workplace risk/exposure assessments for various classes of hazards.
Supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis, so that corrective and preventive actions can be identified, communicated globally, and implemented.
Conducting/delivering regulatory training programs to meet EHS requirements.
