Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to join a top bank in downtown Toronto for a 12-month contract. This individual will be joining the Market Risk group to support daily operations. This team is responsible for VAR and stress testing, and collaborates with other teams in the Risk Group including the market data and model teams. The Business Analyst will be responsible for completing the stress testing, VAR, and completing daily requests. Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel is essential for success in the role. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, as well as a positive attitude and strong drive to learn and take initiative. This role requires a strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities as they will be responsible for validating data and metrics.

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
- Proven ability to problem-solve and close attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn
- Financial product knowledge, such as risk management, VAR (value at risk), market risk, and/or capital market financial products
- Previous stress testing experience and/or experience on a Market Risk team
