An automotive employer is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) to work for on a 10 month contract, 100% fully remote. You will be responsible to ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure. You will play a vital role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and maintaining compliance with industry standards, keeping our systems safe as we drive towards the future of electric mobility. You should have experience with various cloud service delivery models including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS; automation; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling. You will be working on container orchestration with Kubernetes and should be comfortable with tasks such as logging, monitoring, alerting solutions within the cloud infrastructure.

-7+ years of experience in cloud security working on GCP
-Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and understanding of Kubernetes ecosystem tools like Kubevela and Kubewarden
-Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, including experience with Crossplane
-Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like OpenTelemetry and Grafana
-Experience with cloud infrastructure and deep understanding of cloud security principles, including access control, encryption, network security, and risk assessment
-Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment models -Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2)
