Insight Global is looking for a Structural Market Risk Oversight Manager to join one of the top 5 banks in Toronto, Ontario for a 9 month contract with opportunities to extend or convert. This role is essential for providing structural market risk oversight for the first line of treasury. The successful candidate will be able to sign off on assumption reviews, analyze proposals from the treasury team, and provide suggestions to those proposals. They will be required to provide challenges on the proposals, such as questions/hesitations and analytics to support such challenges. This is a very technical and specialized role on the business side, which requires a candidate who has strong knowledge of SMR and ALM. It requires someone who can work in a fast-paced environment, cross-collaborate, and problem-solve.

- 7+ years of relevant experience in the financial industry, including experience in treasury and/or supporting treasury with risk
- Hands-on experience with 2nd line risk management (i.e., experience challenging the 1st line of treasury)
- Asset liability management experience and structural market risk experience in treasury or risk and SMR (suspicious matter reports) knowledge to understand proposals and provide challenges and suggestions to them to ensure treasury proposal are sufficient
- Experience with QRM (quality risk management) for risk modelling validation
