Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with prior data/etl project experience to join a major Canadian airline's data products team. The successful candidate will be joining a data department responsible for the ecommerce, marketing and loyalty branches' data projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with SQL to be the final gaurd validating the tech team's work through query data checks and UAT testing. The successful candidate should be flexible, eager and have excellent communication skills.



Gather and document requirements as per the stakeholders' needs and expectations

· Requirements elicitation

· Business rules

· Requirements walkthroughs and workshops



Act as the bridge between the users/stakeholders and the Agile team

· Assists the PO (proxy) in managing the sprint and the product backlog

· Present and groom user stories with team

· Coordinate with the development team to get the stories developed

· Day to day support in requirements clarifications and business rules (SPOC for the agile team for all requirements related queries)

· Facilitate/Coordinate or execute UAT testing

Take a lead role in the sprint retrospectives and action items

Required Skills & Experience

· Knowledge of BI analytics/concepts and data warehouse platforms

· Best practices in user acceptance testing (UAT)

· Agile methodology experience (CSM/PSM or CPO/PSPO certification is an asset)

· Process and data flow mapping

· Technologies

o Atlassian's tools (Jira/Confluence)

o SQL
