Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join the team at one of our largest banking clients on a 6-month contract-to-hire position. The successful candidate will be joining the organization to help support a cyber security remediation program and will be responsible for the following:



Collaboration:

- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Operations Teams to ensure cloud capabilities are delivered securely and aligned with CIS CSP benchmarks.

- Collaborate with IT development teams to ensure secure software is deployed to the production environment.



CIS Benchmark Compliance:

- Establish and maintain processes for applying CIS Benchmarks to cloud environments.

- Regularly audit and validate the application of benchmarks, flagging instances where benchmarks are not applied or are missing.

- Work closely with the Cloud Security Team to address and remediate any identified security gaps promptly.



Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Cloud Security, Security Operations, DevOps, Cloud Operations, and Application Teams to understand security requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management, providing updates on security implementation progress, challenges, and solutions.



Testing and Validation:

- Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in cloud environments.

- Collaborate with DevOps and Application Teams to validate security controls and configurations, ensuring they meet industry standards and best practices.



Reporting and Documentation:

- Create comprehensive reports on the progress of benchmark compliance, and testing results.

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of security configurations, processes, and benchmarks in a centralized knowledge base for easy reference.

- Present reports, metrics, and key findings to organizational leadership teams monthly.

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience in cloud security operations and compliance with tools such as Prisma Cloud or Wiz.

- Expert knowledge of Windows platform security including domain architecture, Active Directory, and policy design.

- Hands-on experience implementing secure architecture and hardening practices for AWS and Azure cloud environments with a preference for alignment with CIS benchmarks.
