Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Azure Data Consultant to support the design, developments and implementation of enterprise wide projects at one of Toronto's big banks.
Required Skills & Experience
- You can demonstrate 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, implementing and supporting complex projects building web applications and data engineering solutions including data processing, data warehousing, data mapping and transformations (ETL processes and reporting applications is an asset)
- Strong Azure cloud development and design working knowledge on at least the below items:
- Azure App services: Web apps, API Apps, Frontend SPA apps
- Azure Key Vault: Storing and retrieving secrets programmatically.
- Azure Function App: HTTP Triggered apps, Timer triggered apps
- Azure SQL/Azure SQL MI: Azure SQL feature differences and SQL programming
- Azure data factory : Pipelines, data sets, linked services, integrated with Self-hosted integration runtime, mapping, authoring and monitoring data flows
- Azure data lake : Reading from and writing to from different sources using Azure SDK/APIs/configuration
- Azure monitor : To configure alerts on various metrics and analyze for troubleshooting
- Azure Network Security groups: To identify the NSG rules that are required to be allowed or denied
- Strong hands on programming knowledge in C# .NET or Java
- Strong knowledge in working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle.
- Writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures is required
- Working knowledge in partitioning, indexes, statistics, explain/execution plans, etc is a plus
- Experience in creating Power BI Reports and analytics
- Experience building and integrating with external systems using REST API connectors
- Experience in Front end development for building and maintaining Single Page applications (SPA) using VueJs or ReactJs
- Knowledge and experience of using GIT and Azure Devops
- Production support is required for this role
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience with any JavaScript framework
* Experience with Change Data Capture(CDC) tools and how CDC work
* Good knowledge working with message queue and stream processing systems
* Working experience with Azure App service environment
* Certification in Azure is an asset.
* API development experience
