An aerospace engineering company is looking for an Electrical Product Design Engineer in the OKC area. This person will be joining an aircraft program entailing an entire system upgrade. The Product Design Engineer will be helping with the 2D and 3D design and integration for the aircraft's electrical system. They will use tools and technologies such as Mentorgraphics (design tool), LabView (for lab work), spreadsheets (for analysis work), and some coding including C++, MATLAB and LabView for integration. They will be responsible for design, development and integration of electrical systems for the aircraft. They will develop requirements in DOORS, manage the process and tools, create design solutions, and work with systems engineering teams on integration.
This person should have experience in the aerospace industry, preferable aerospace and defense, with a strong understanding of how electrical systems work in an aircraft. They will design at the circuit and box-level (designing circuit cards and building the box)
This role requires a Secret Clearance Post-Start. This team works a hybrid schedule, 3-days in office, 2-days remote, and a 9/80 schedule (off every other Friday).
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Product Design Engineer
- Aircraft or aerospace industry experience
- 2D & 3D design experience (Mentorgraphics, AutoCAD, MathCAD, Catia V5, etc.)
- Experience working with DOORS for requirements development
- Electrical design experience
- STEM Bachelor's Degree
- Circuit level and/or box level electrical design experience
- Mil standards
