Job Description
An employer in Oklahoma City is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their efforts on Tinker Air Force Base. The team sits on site supporting the base operations within construction and engineering. Duties include but not limited to:
This position is responsible for cradle-to-grave execution of construction projects on Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, and may supervise one or more project coordinators.
Reviews engineering plans and specifications for compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensures that design formats comply with applicable guidance.
Prepares required documentation to ensure project designs are suitable for solicitation through the base contracting office.
Participates in the construction planning process by investigating proposed projects to obtain field data, check existing facilities and utilities, and to conceptualize the scope of the completed project.
Furnishes sketches and layouts supplemented by verbal or written information for preparation of drawings.
Prepares modification/alteration design specifications considering existing structures, utilities, facilities and other considerations of projects that are not readily apparent.
Applies a practical knowledge of engineering methods, techniques, architecture, and historical project data to ensure project requirements are complete.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in a construction or engineering related field.
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience as an APM or PM ensuring the execution of projects.
- Working knowledge of design, construction and international building code.
- Can pass a background check
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Professional Engineers license
- Previous federal construction experience
