Job Description
The Dataset & Report Developer is responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise datasets and reporting solutions that enable accurate, efficient, and scalable analytics across the organization. This role requires strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, Databricks pipelines, and advanced reporting tools such as Power BI and Spotfire, paired with intermediate Python skills and familiarity with SAP and oil & gas data structures. The developer analyzes existing datasets and reports to determine remediation needs, architects future‑state data models, and creates or updates reports to align with new enterprise standards. By supporting business users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data quality and consistency, this role serves as a critical partner in delivering reliable, high‑value insights and modernizing the organization’s data ecosystem.
Compensation:
$70-75/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong familiarity with oil and gas data, structures, and terminology (e.g production, operations, financial reporting)
- Advanced SQL skills (ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and build scalable models)
- Proven familiarity with Databricks (experience with notebooks, jobs, pipellines)
- Advanced PowerBI or Spotfire experience (for dashboard creation and data modeling)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data requirements.
- A collaborative, solution‑driven approach with attention to detail.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working with or integrating SAP data resources
- Background in financial reporting within oil and gas
