Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an Automation Engineer to join a large oil and gas client in Tulsa, OK. This role is crucial to advancing the company's digital transformation and operational efficiency. This position focuses on automating workflows, integrating business tools, and improving data quality to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual efforts. The main responsibilities in this role will be to collaborate closely with SMEs in welding, metallurgy, corrosion, and integrity management to develop PowerBI dashboards, robust data models, and automated ETL processes that integrate date from systems like Aconex, GIS, PCS, and Maximo.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Oracle, & data warehousing
- Prior experience with Microsoft tools: PowerBI, Power Automate, SharePoint, & Office Suite.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering SMEs and translate business needs into actionable data solutions
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Microsoft certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Data Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals
- Familiarity with tools such as Aconex, GIS, PCS, and Maximo
- Experience in AI tool building and machine learning
Programming skills in Python or similar languages for automation and data manipulation
