Job Description
An industry leading Fortune 500 client in the Home Services industry is looking for a new Android Mobile Application Developer to assist in customer-facing applications. This team is responsible for the migration of multiple assets into one platform -- these apps interface with IoT connected products and offer critical capabilities to customers. This new developer would join an existing team of 4-5 other developers and be responsible for hands-on development using Kotlin. They will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional partners and patriciate in the agile development processes including sprint planning, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions. This team strives for consumer interaction with products in new and unique ways, requiring up-to-date knowledge and advisory skills on terminology, concepts, and best practices. As a member of the development team supporting mobile functionality, you will skillfully design, test, release, and support code translating into user-friendly Android applications.
Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years of Android App Development
-Strong experience using Kotlin for development including Coroutines, Android SDK, Dagger, Hilt, Room, Jetpack Compose, and/or Flow experience
-Experience with Agile methodologies to align with business priorities and iterate quickly on product changes
-Strong communication skills -- ability to communicate effectively within a distributed and remote team
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related
-Understanding of how to implement and integrate into the cloud (AWS preferred)
-Development and implementation experience with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant smart home devices
