Job Description

The Sr. Technical Solution Specialist – Integrated Thermal Systems to lead and support field deployment of Vertiv One Core system. This role will provide technical liaison for service deployment team along with product and engineering key stakeholders to address technical issues. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in thermal management, fluid management, and system architecture for hyperscale prefabricated data center. Will partner with counterpart Sr. Technical Solution Specialist – Integrated Power Systems for Power Management Business unit while driving continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the support of AI data center solutions including cooling modules, SmartRun IT superstructure, hydro modules, and heat rejection systems.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting technical growth within the team.
• Work closely with R&D and Offering teams to integrate new technologies—including Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), CoolChip CDUs, and CoolLoop Trim Coolers—into existing systems effectively.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance deployment processes, targeting up to 50% reduction in deployment time and on-site labor.
• Identify and resolve issues related to cooling and monitoring system performance, including diagnosing problems across chilled water networks, primary/secondary fluid networks, CDU systems, and Vertiv™ Unify platform integration.
• Provide technical support across mechanical, thermal, quality, monitoring, and control systems to ensure seamless integration and performance of OneCore solutions.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), on-site commissioning, and quality control activities throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Conduct and interpret fluid sample analyses including glycol concentration, pH levels, conductivity, particulate contamination, and biological growth—to proactively identify system degradation, ensure coolant quality standards are maintained, and recommend corrective actions for primary and secondary fluid networks.
• Onsite travel to address escalated issues, attend customer meetings, and support construction phase activities including site management and assembly supervision.
• Lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation and support content for OneCore products and reference designs.
• Communicate effectively to understand customer needs, provide technical support, and resolve issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in modular/prefabricated data center construction, AI-ready cooling systems, and liquid cooling infrastructure, providing recommendations for incorporating advancements into current processes.
• Stay abreast of relevant codes and standards for cooling systems, fluid networks, and data center thermal infrastructure.
• Stay informed about new products, revisions, updates, and upgrades that may affect OneCore system operation, including SmartRun, cooling technologies, and Unify platform updates.

Salary: 140k+ USD

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Center Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five years experience interacting with customers on a technical level required.
• Experience with fluid sample analysis, including interpreting results for glycol concentration, pH levels, conductivity, particulate contamination, and biological growth to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Deep expertise in thermal management systems and proven ability to optimize complex cooling architectures.
• At least 5 years of experience in thermal infrastructure.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge of chilled water systems, primary/secondary fluid networks, and water quality management is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge of Vertiv cooling products (CDUs, chillers, adiabatic coolers, CoolLoop Trim Coolers) is a plus:
• Master's degree is a plus.
