Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Packaging Engineer for a top food manufacturing and retail client. This candidate will support manufacturing packaging changes, cost transformation initiatives, vendor qualification, package testing, and packaging sustainability efforts across a large plant network. The ideal candidate has deep food manufacturing packaging experience, strong project ownership, and the ability to travel frequently to plants and vendors to lead trials, evaluate extended production runs, support start-ups, and ensure packaging is cost effective, high quality, customer friendly, and aligned with safety and quality expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience working in packaging, specifically applying packaging changes (CPG, retail, food, or beverage)
- Ability to travel 75% of the time (3 weeks total but back on weekends)
- TOPS software experience
- Ability to read AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- New product development
- Experience with KPM (Kroger product management)
- Knowledge of working with a variety of food equipment (Aseptic, hotfill, roasters, etc.)
