Job Description

We are seeking a front facing Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing risks associated with personal insurance policies, ensuring accurate and fair premium rates. Key responsibilities include reviewing inspection reports submitted by third-party vendors to determine underwriting eligibility and potential reimbursement amounts, and reaching out to clients with findings and feedback on their inspections. The role involves confirming coverage on homes, identifying hazards such as broken windows and foundation issues, and handling a high volume of inspections, aiming to review 30 inspections per day. Additionally, the underwriter will provide support and information to clients through phone calls and chats, service live requests from agents, and assist agents representing the company in selling business to their clients. Responding to inquiries regarding homeowners, auto, and boat policies, and managing phone calls based on the longest wait time and chats on a first-come, first-served basis are also part of the job.

5 years of experience with Personal Lines Underwriting
Experience reviewing inspection reports
Experience communicating with agents
High School Diploma

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification
