Job Description
An employer is seeking a Service Engineer for a contract to hire job opportunity in the Cincinnati, OH area. This company is an international manufacturer of custom machined and heat-treated parts and component assemblies for heavy-duty industrial applications. This engineer will be joining their Service Department, in their Industrial components group. They will be inspecting the form, fit, and function of the parts and will be providing technical reports, going through inspections, and performing failure analysis. They will also be responsible for collaborating with shop personnel, other departments within the organization, and clients to ensure product is built to design and customer specifications. In addition to providing manufacturing support for all service products, they will also develop work scopes and repair methods for reconditioning parts and recommend design improvements/upgrades to system components.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical, field service, or manufacturing engineer experience (this can include internships)
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- Understanding of manufacturing and repair processes
- Experience creating technical reports
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Steel manufacturing or gear design experience
