Job Description

Must Haves
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in product development
3+ years of direct people management experience leading electrical engineering teams
Experience designing industrial control panels (UL508A)
Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA79), UL508A/SB, and HVAC-related electrical standards
Experience leading new product development efforts from concept through release
Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo preferred) and engineering documentation processes
Experience managing project timelines, technical priorities, and engineering resources
Plusses
Experience leading teams within HVAC, thermal management, liquid cooling, or data center infrastructure
Experience with PLM systems and change management processes
Experience managing multi-site or cross-functional engineering teams
Knowledge of UL60335-2-40 or related standards
PMP or formal project management experience
Experience developing engineering talent and succession plans
Day to Day

The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a team of electrical engineers responsible for the design, development, and release of electrical systems for Vertiv's High Density Liquid Cooling product portfolio. This individual will provide both technical leadership and people management while partnering closely with mechanical engineering, software engineering, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of electrical engineers, including performance management, coaching, and career development
Provide technical leadership for electrical system design across Liquid Cooling products, including CDUs and related technologies
Drive execution of multiple engineering programs while balancing resources, priorities, and project timelines
Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, panel layouts, and engineering documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable UL, NEC, and industry standards
Partner with product management and engineering leadership to align development priorities with business objectives
Lead root cause investigations and resolution of field quality issues
Support hiring, workforce planning, and team growth initiatives
Oversee product cost reduction efforts, design improvements, and value engineering activities
Collaborate with software, controls, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure successful product launches
Establish engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement across the organization

SALARY : 170K
