Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Technician for a client. This individual will support large-scale data center builds by installing conduit systems, routing and terminating low-voltage, for all BMS wiring. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects while gaining valuable experience in high-demand data center technologies.
Day-to-Day:
Install conduit, raceways, and enclosures for electrical systems
Route and secure cabling through designated pathways
Pull, label, and terminate copper and fiber cables
Read and execute work based on project drawings and schematics
Assist with system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Operate lifts and perform overhead installation work as needed
Ensure all installations are clean, organized, and code-compliant
Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols

Required Skills & Experience
1+ years of experience in commercial electrical work in an active construction environment
-Hands-on experience with conduit installation, cable routing, and terminations
- Experience terminating signal wires (18/2 & 18/4)
- Experience using wire strippers
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation details
Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments
OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in data center environments
Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) wiring
Experience with fiber optics installation and testing
Prior experience operating lifts or working overhead
