Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an EDI Sterling Integrator Admin/Architect to support a multi-national power management client of ours. Overall, we are looking for someone who can independently manage, proactively address issues, and act as a go-to SME for Sterling Integrator operations and architecture.
Area of work Job responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Monitoring
• Take end-to-end ownership of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator platform.
• Proactively monitor system health, queues, and workflows to ensure uninterrupted EDI processing.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks before they impact business operations.
EDI Operations & Support
• Manage daily EDI transactions (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, flat files) and ensure timely processing.
• Troubleshoot failed transactions, communication issues, and mapping errors.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in on-call rotations if required.
Partner Onboarding & Maintenance
• Configure and onboard new trading partners (setup communications, certificates, routing rules).
• Maintain existing partner relationships by updating configurations, certificates, and protocols.
• Administer and support communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, OFTP, and HTTPS.
• Monitor connectivity issues and ensure secure and reliable data exchange.
System Administration
• Perform server administration tasks including user management, system configuration, and patching.
• Write and maintain scripts (Unix shell, Java, PowerShell) to automate operational activities.
• Monitor logs, disk usage, database health, and system performance.
• Analyze recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, application, and business teams) to resolve critical incidents.
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement
• Tune system performance and optimize workflows for high-volume data processing.
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance platform stability and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience
• At least 8+ years of experience with IBM Sterling Integrator using standards EDIFACT, ANSI, XML, and flat file layouts.
• 6+ years in IBM EDI B2B Sterling Integrator server administration with experience in JAVA, Unix Shell Scripts or related.
• Preferred experience working with EDI Mapping, XML, XSLT, Power shell scripts, database and framework like Lightwell or Remedi
• Strong understanding of communication protocols – AS2, OFTP, SFTP, HTTPS.
• Exposure on server migration from on premise to cloud technology.
