Job Description

Lead end-to-end power assessments across utility, MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, and rack delivery
Evaluate AC/DC and 800VDC readiness, including safety risks, operational impact, and workforce implications
Translate assessments into standardized architectures and recommendations (no custom engineering)
Build phased roadmaps aligning infrastructure upgrades with AI-scale growth, safety gating, and workforce transformation
Define power-train adoption strategies with clear safety and execution milestones
Act as the technical authority on power infrastructure in client engagements
Mentor internal consultants and elevate technical rigor across delivery
Contribute to and improve Vertiv’s consulting frameworks, tools, and IP
Engage with senior stakeholders/executives to communicate findings and shape decisions

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years in data center power systems, mission-critical infrastructure, or consulting
Deep expertise across facility power (utility → rack)
Experience with high-density / AI data center environments
Exposure to DC systems, AC/DC transitions, or high-voltage environments (ex: 800VDC)
Strong understanding of electrical safety, operational risk, and reliability
Comfortable working within standardized/structured consulting frameworks
Proven ability to own client relationships and present to senior leadership

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience tying technical upgrades to workforce training & operational change
Background in risk assessment + safety-driven design/operations
Prior experience in consulting or advisory roles vs pure engineering/design
Ability to balance technical depth with business/executive communication
