Job Description
An employer is looking for a Sr. Information Security Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity. The client is a large financial institution, and the Information Security Engineer (ISE) will be responsible for defining, delivering and supporting the enterprise security tools. The ISE will also participate in a diverse variety of IS projects and support the ongoing operations of the Information Security department. The ISE is be focused on securing the Bank's cloud environments (public & hybrid) through custom and 3rd party tools.
ISEs are our primary executors on maintaining and improving our security tooling, both custom and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products. In this role specifically, this team supports the client's current CSPM tool, Prisma Cloud. This individual will be helping set up the environment to offboard Prisma Cloud as it approaches end-of-life and ready the environment for a new CSPM. This includes managing and configuring the platform, taking stories for evaluation of POCs, providing opinions on how that platform performs, writing and contributing policies in CSPM, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a security engineer/consultant on cloud projects.
• Engineer and implement well-architected solutions while adhering to software development best practices.
• Advise Principal Engineers and Product Owners on operations and evolution of their product.
• Design, test, and implement solutions at the Feature level.
• Support the Bank's operational information security responsibilities, including the development maintenance of standards, procedures, and guidelines necessary to satisfy the Information Security department's network operations.
• Understand virtualization/containerization technologies.

Required Skills & Experience
• 6+ years’ overall experience in Cloud Security
• Strong experience operating a Cloud platform/prior experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer
• Experience with Git and Terraform for configuration
• Experience with CSPM tools (Prisma Cloud, AWS Config or similar)
• Knowledge around querying languages/ability to quickly pick up a proprietary querying language
• Experience in an Agile environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with RQL for querying (this is Prisma Cloud-specific)
• Containerization
• Container Scanning
