Job Description
An employer is looking for a Field Service Technician to work onsite in Costa Rica. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for responsible for responding to service calls within timelines set by the Service Coordinator while delivering punctual, high-quality technical support to both internal and external customers. Ensures proper preparation for each assignment by verifying the service type and organizing required tools and equipment. Maintains strong customer service standards while completing clear, detailed service reports and submitting documentation to customers daily, copying relevant internal stakeholders. Communicates regularly with the Service Coordinator, including providing updates at the completion of each assignment, and follows up on any outstanding tasks until full resolution with the customer is achieved. Maintains tools and equipment in optimal condition and consistently adheres to company policies, code of conduct, and safety protocols. The reason for the opening is to grow the company’s medical end-market in Costa Rica having an onsite-technical presence.
Specific Tasks
• Arrive on time to assigned services and immediately notify any delays.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding service progress.
• Perform and confirm accurate service diagnosis before informing the customer.
• Complete all Service Authorization fields and document part numbers when damaged parts are identified.
• Use Field Service Lightning notifications for open service items and inform the Coordinator.
• Request support immediately when necessary.
• Document all details when transferring a service to another technician.
• Promote service hours and MAP.
• Recommend spare parts replacement to extend equipment life.
• Return shared tools in good condition and report any damage.
• Provide relevant commercial information to sales teams in each territory

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of injection molding troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish
- Interpretation of electrical diagrams, Interpretation of hydraulic diagrams, Electronics and electricity knowledge. Use of measurement tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field
- Active passport and willingness to travel in nearby countries (ex: Guatemala or Columbia)
