Job Description
An employer in the Dayton, Ohio, area is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity. This individual is going to be responsible but not limited to the following: join a large team with development experience to support a mission-critical defense capability focused on delivering modern intelligence and analytics solutions. In this role, engineers will design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications within a secure DevSecOps environment, leveraging containerized architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms. The work involves developing scalable backend services in Java or Golang, building intuitive web interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, and integrating CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery. Ideal candidates are comfortable working with cloud-native tooling and databases, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and applying cutting edge technologies to solve complex problems that support national security missions. An active or attainable TS/SCI security clearance is required. Must sit on site 5 days/week.

Required Skills & Experience
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security clearance
Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred)
2-5 years of experience in software engineering (Java or Golang)
Experience working with a modern web application framework (Vue, React, Angular)
Experience developing containerized applications targeting cloud Kubernetes environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Active Clearance
Experience working with Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Cloud experience
