Job Description
This position will support advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities. The position will serve as a lab technician for the additive manufacturing lab, including part setup and generation, equipment/lab maintenance, consumable and spare parts procurement, while adhering to lab and equipment guidelines. The successful candidate will understand additive manufacturing safety, techniques and provide guidance on design for manufacturability, build stops/lessons learned, equipment and part set-up, and part processing. The majority of work will support government customers, but some industry partners will be supported as well.
-Perform part setup on metal and polymer printers.
-Perform all preventative maintenance and documentation, including support lab preventive maintenance for metal and polymer printers.
-Perform post process duties as needed to ensure efficient additive manufacturing process flow.
-Provide feedback and suggestions with design and manufacturing engineers to improve the AM printing process.
-Work with engineers to draft develop and execute process guides for all existing and new lab equipment as required.

Required Skills & Experience
-Minimum of 1 year operating or programming a CNC Mill, lathe, or press
-Familiarity with CAD/CAM software packages.
-Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing or production environment
-Strong Mechanical aptitude
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Direct experience with Direct Metal Laser Melting additive manufacturing equipment.
-Direct experience with E2 Shoptech Enterprise Resource Planning System.
